Australia Hospitality Internship Program

Our internship placements are sourced on an individual basis to ensure that every placement is perfectly matched to a candidate’s education, experience and internship objectives.

Paid Internship
We only offer paid Internship opportunities. As a program participant, you will receive compensation from your employer during your Internship program. Placement hours and compensation will vary depending on the employer and the seasonality of the business but will be at a minimum $22.00 AUD/hour. Positions are available in luxury hotels and resorts all over Australia; your flexibility with location is required. We offer 6 months, 9 months and 12 month full time positions.

Employers
We offer Internship program throughout Australia. The most popular cities are Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Cable Beach.
The employers; hotels, resorts and restaurants are highly rated (usually 4*-5*) organizations, therefore you will be gaining valuable experience while training in a professional team. Your international experience and knowledge will be a rewarding addition to your resume and future career.

Internship fields
Food Production / Culinary – Available for graduates with min 12 months study and / or related work experience obtained in the past 24 months.
Food Production – Available for chefs with minimum of 12 months recent experience obtained in the past 24 months with a major restaurant, hotel or resort. Commis to Sous level.
Food & Beverage – Available for current students and recent graduates up to 6 months from graduation.
Front Office – Available for current students and recent graduates up to 6 months from graduation.
Hospitality Management Trainee (Cafe & Restaurant Management Trainee, Hotel Management Trainee) – Available for graduates with min 12 months study and / or related work experience.

Our partner agency and program has been approved by the Department of Immigration for the 407 Training Visa. The visa sponsor and our team will be monitoring your Internship program and we will be in contact with you to ensure that you are having a great time and rewarding experience. Application requirements
The Internship program is open to all nationalities, provided you meet the below criteria:
• Age: between 18 – 35 Students: • Completed a full time Hospitality management/ Culinary Arts tertiary course (minimum Diploma level)
• Graduates: A recent graduate (of a full time Hospitality or Culinary management tertiary course)
• Minimum Work/Study Requirement: Refer to the above- depending on the role you will be applying for
• Work Experience: Minimum 6 months full time (or 12 months part time) in the selected internship department Internship
• Field: Studies and experience must be related to the nominated internship department
• Preference: Currently working in the selected internship department
• Flexibility: Willing to work in any Australian city, including rural and remote locations
• English: Upper intermediate – advanced English language skills

Step by step
1. Submit your application and send us your resume. We will contact you for a suitable time when we can conduct a skype interview. We would like to get to know you, evaluate your English skills and answer all your questions during the first skype interview.

2. If you qualify for the program and successfully pass the first interview, we submit your application to our employers. Your second interview will be with a representative from the employer.

3. If you successfully pass the interview with the employer, you will receive your job offer and we can start completing your paperwork for the visa application;

• Copy of your most current academic transcripts that show your grades
• Copy of your Certificate of Qualification (e.g. Diplomas, Certificates, Bachelor)

FAQ

At what level of English do I need to speak to apply for the program?
You should be able to easily communicate in English. During the skype interview, we will evaluate your level of English and answer all your questions.

What happens if I don’t get along with the employer?
Our team will be in contact with you throughout your program and provide ongoing support. We are committed to making this program one of your most memorable and rewarding experiences in your career. You will also be given a phone number that you can call 24 hours in case of emergency while in Australia.

When can I apply?
You can submit your application any time of the year. The employers are looking for Interns all year round.

Can I apply with my boyfriend/girlfriend?
Yes, of course. We will try to place you near each other, however, since the most important thing is to find you the most suitable program, we cannot guarantee to place you together.
